Building MLOps ecosystem at Brainly – design and challenges
In engineering it is never easy to design a system or platform that will be robust, effective and yet easy to maintain and use. It gets even harder if you are building a platform for not one but many teams and you have to adapt to their existing projects and tools.
Jerzy Balcerzak is a Machine Learning Architect at Brainly. His current focus is on building a well-performing organisation delivering valuable ML product functionalities with efficient engineering and operations around it.
While holding BSc in robotics and MSc in computer science, Jerzy diversified his career before Brainly. Among others, he was developing computer-vision-based prototypes of futuristic white goods, running a successful predictive maintenance company as CTO, and constructing data & MLOps infrastructure for user behaviour modelling for an Israelian startup. His leadership skills are utilised in the challenging environment of rapidly evolving AI projects in Brainly, aiming to revolutionise the EdTech market.
